本日６時間目のASⅡでは、各班で対照実験の方法について考える時間を持ちました。多くの班が、少なくとも12月のKSHでの発表までに何らかの実験結果をデータ化し、分析しておかなければなりません。１回の実験に時間がかかったり、必要なものがなかなか入手できなかったり、被験者を集めるのが難しかったりと、実験に関して頭を悩ませている班も多そうです。

　さて、７時間目にふと窓の外を見ると、資源ごみ置き場に集まる不良たち、いえ、善良な「電磁誘導」班の少年たちの姿が！　実験に使うペットボトルを物色（？）しているようです。そして、その横を優雅に散歩しているのは女子高生の集団...ではなく、「元」マイハギ班のみなさんでした。なぜ「元」がつくのか気になりますよね？　実は、先日の記事でもお伝えしたとおり、マイハギが某テレビ番組で紹介されてバズってしまったそうで、しばらく入手が難しそうとのこと... とにかく、「元」マイハギ班がなぜ外を歩いていたかというと、マイハギに代わる研究対象を求めて川辺の植物を物色していたからなのでした。池の鯉を観察したり、ヨモギやセイタカアワダチソウなどの植物を見たり... その中で、彼女たちの目に留まったのは... イシクラゲ！（※みなさん、イシクラゲって知っていますか？地面に生えているワカメ？みたいなやつです）何はともあれ、研究対象候補になりそうなイシクラゲを無事収穫（？）し、笑顔で帰路についた「元」マイハギ班でした。（早く新しいグループ名が決定しますように！）

　質疑応答もがんばっています。写真を撮りながら気づいたのですが、自分たちの研究について説明するとき、みんな本当に素敵な笑顔です。研究が楽しいんでしょうね！

 
　　　In the sixth period ASⅡ today, students had a chance to think about their control experiments.  Many of the groups need to have a certain amount of reliable data before their presentation in December.  We hear some groups are having difficulty in getting what they need for the experiments, and some are having a hard time getting enough people to be involved in their experiments.  How can they solve these problems?

　　　In the following period, we saw some groups outside.  Look!  There are suspicious boys in front of the garbage pit…!  Oh, good, they are just our loving students trying to find PET bottles for their experiments.  We can see another group of girls enjoying a walk by the river…who are from the group “ex” Telegraph Plants.  You want to know why it’s “ex,” right?  Well, as we told you before, the telegraph plants, which the students were planning to use for their experiments, were sold out all over Japan since they were featured in a TV program the other day.  The students had no choice but to seek something else worth researching.  That’s why they were walking outside looking around.  While looking at wild plants such as mugwort or goldenrod, there was a fateful encounter… They found some blue-green algae called “Nostoc Commune” on the ground.  (Do you know what they are?  You can see some black things like dried-seaweed in the picture.)  Anyway, the students went back to class proudly with a possibility in their hands.  Good for you guys!
