Hello everyone! It’s Maya.

While my time as an ALT in Amakusa is sadly coming to an end, I know the students and teachers are very excited to welcome the new ALTs to the school. Recently, the ESS Club has been working on a video introducing Amataka in English. First, the students brainstormed different topics they wanted to include. They came up with ideas such as a school tour, teacher introductions, and explanations of the school schedule and annual events. They also thought about what aspects of school life in Japan might be different from those in other countries and made sure to highlight those points. Next, they wrote a script, and then we filmed and recorded each segment of the video. Finally, we edited the video and shared it with the new ALTs. We hope this video can give a glimpse into wonderful life at Amakusa High School!

みなさん、こんにちは！マヤです。

ALTとして天草高校で過ごす時間も残りわずかとなり、寂しい気持ちもありますが、生徒や先生方は新しく赴任するALTの先生方を迎えることをとても楽しみにしています。

最近、ESSでは新しいALTの先生方に向けて、天草高校を英語で紹介する動画を制作しました。まず、生徒たちは動画に盛り込みたい内容について話し合い、校内案内や先生紹介（英語科）、学校生活の一日の流れ、年間行事など、さまざまなアイデアを出し合いました。また、日本の学校生活の中で海外とは異なる点についても考え、その魅力が伝わるよう工夫しました。

その後、台本を作成し、それぞれの場面の撮影やナレーションの録音を行いました。最後に動画を編集し、新しく赴任するALTの先生方へ送りました。

この動画を通して、新しい先生方に天草高校の素晴らしい学校生活の様子が少しでも伝われば嬉しいです。
