７時間目は天草市役所の原田様より、「あまくさ未来創造スクール」で学び、天草をより良くしようと頑張る「ローカルイノベーター」のみなさんの紹介がありました。天草にいながら福岡に出店している方、天草に移住し、御所浦を日本一楽しい場所にしたい！と奮闘している方、天草の女性が集まる場を設け、女性のパワーで地域を活性化しようとしている方。聞いているだけでワクワクしますね！来週は10人のイノベーターのみなさんに天草高校に来ていただくことになっています。ぜひ、積極的に色々質問ができるといいですね。

　後半は、熊本大学准教授の尾山先生から和歌山県田辺市の事例をご紹介いただきました。その１つは、どんぐりを２年間自宅で育て、和歌山県の山に戻すことで森林保全に関わることができる、「MODORINAE」というビジネスです。最初は小さな１歩でも、地域の現状を踏まえて知恵を出し合って活動していくことで、メディアに取り上げられ、より多くの企業に採用されるという好循環を生み出したそうです。

　講義後のディスカッションを経て、質疑応答では今日も多くの手が挙がりました。この調子で来週も積極的に学んでいきましょう！ 

   In the 7th period, Mr. Harada from Amakusa city introduced “Local Innovators,” who are working hard to make Amakusa a better place. Next week, we will have 10 innovators as guests. We are sure it will be a great opportunity to meet the “cool adults” they have learned about in the lectures.

　In the latter half of the 7th period, Prof. Oyama, Associate Professor of Kumamoto University, introduced case studies from Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture. One of them is a business called “MODORINAE,” in which people take part in forest conservation by growing acorns at home and returning them in two years. Growing an acorn at home sounds like a very small step, but people doing MODORINAE never stop trying to find better ways. They gradually made things happen - now many companies are interested in their project and more and more people started to join them.

   This story from Tanabe made our students more interested in creating something new, and more and more students are now thinking about what they can do for our town. Let's continue to learn actively next week at this rate!

　本日はE２の本評価と提言書の締切日でした。E２（地域を創造する）では、実験や調査の結果やそれらを根拠とした提案を地域に示すことができたかを問います。生徒はこれまでの研究でどのように地域とつながってきたか、また、地域の企業や自治体などと連携をしてきたかを本評価を通して振り返っていました。

　評価が終わった生徒たちは、いよいよ本日が最終締切となった提言書の仕上げに取り組みます。提言書の中で、生徒たちはこれまでの研究結果をふまえ、地域課題の解決のための提案を具体的に数値とともに示すことを期待されています。控室・本評価実施教室・評価後の待機室は全て分かれており、全ての班員が顔を合わせて作業ができるわけではありません。別の場所にいながらも班員たちが協力し合えるのは、一人一台端末でドキュメントを共有して編集を行う仕組みが整っているからです（便利な時代になったものですね！）。さて、各班、提言書の中でしっかり根拠を示し、説得力のある提言ができているのでしょうか。締切まであと１時間、がんばって！

    Today ATⅡstudents had their last evaluation, E2 (Creating a Community) , which asks whether they were able to show the results based on their research to the community. Through this evaluation, students reflected on how they have connected with the community in their research, and how they have collaborated with local businesses and communities.

　After the evaluation, the students worked on their final proposals, which are due today. In their proposals, they are expected to present concrete and numerical proposals for solving local issues based on the results of their research. Since students had their evaluation interview separately, not all group members were able to work face to face. Still, they could communicate with each other and edit their proposals by sharing a document on a computer. Hope all went well, also, we are all looking forward to reading your persuasive proposals. ＫＳＣと熊本大学の高大連携・高大接続に関する協定調印式が行われました。

今後、天高を含むＫＳＣ（熊本サイエンスコンソーシアム）と熊本大学は、さらに連携を強化していきます。

式後のキックオブイベントでは、ホタル班が発表を行いました。

多くの大学の先生方がおられる中でしたが、事前練習の甲斐もあって身振り手振りを交えて堂々と発表していました。
