Hello!

Grade 1 English students have been busy this week learning about countries from around the world. The assignment is to research a foreign country using tablet computers. A report must then be created in English.

Many students are interested in European countries like Spain, Italy, and France. I hope their research will motivate them to travel abroad someday and seek experiences outside of their comfort zones.

Studying foreign nations helps support stability and peace throughout the world. It's better to be friend than to be strangers. Understanding other cultures helps us understand ourselves!

やあ、こんにちは

1年生のクラスでは今週、世界の国々について学んだよ。

世界の国についての課題をタブレットを使って調べてもらったんだ。全部英語で書いてもらったよ。

たくさんの生徒がスペイン、イタリア、フランスのようなヨーロッパの国に興味をもっていたよ。生徒みんながこのレッスンを機にいつか海外に行って、彼らが心地よい場所を世界のどこかに見つけてくれたらうれしいな。

海外の国について学ぶことで世界の安定や平和をよく考える手助けになると思うんだ。よその国を知らないよりはより友好的に考えるほうがはるかにいいからね。
異文化をしることは自分の国の文化をより理解することにつながると思うよ。
